Our formulas are mixed with specific ratios designed to actually permeate the epidermis. Your lips need moisture constantly because things like licking, drinking, or using petroleum products dry them out. In fact, licking your lips is a sign of moisture loss—a double-edged sword, since saliva is acidic and evaporates immediately.
The Science of Softness As a non-glandular mucous membrane, your lips cannot generate their own moisture. They lack the oil-producing sebaceous glands found on the rest of your body, making them 3 to 10 times more susceptible to water loss than your face.
It should be noted: Vaseline and petroleum-based products do not moisturize. They act as a sealant on the surface. Blaam utilizes Humectants that can be absorbed, giving you real hydration.
